When are personal taxes due?

Personal taxes are due for filing and payment by April 30th of each year. If April 30th falls on a weekend, they are due by the following weekday. If you are reporting self-employment income, payment is still due April 30th while filing is not due until June 15th.

2. CRA’s My Payment – An online payment portal provided by the CRA. See more information on this here. Note, this is a debit payment system.

3. Cheque – Mail a cheque in for the amount owing to your Tax Services Center. For Edmonton and area this would be Suite 10, 9700 Jasper Ave., Edmonton AB, T5J 4C8. Make the cheque out to “Receiver General.” In the memo portion, include your SIN and the note “personal taxes” with the year. It is a good idea to send this mail registered to ensure delivery.
